A major focus of this edition is Globalia’s 7th Annual Meeting, taking place from 26th to 28th October 2026 at the InterContinental Bangkok. The newsletter explores what members can expect from three days of one-to-one meetings, networking, knowledge sharing and business development, while highlighting the special significance of celebrating a decade of Globalia connections in Bangkok.

Ahead of the event, members are reminded that the one-to-one meeting scheduler opens in two stages: agents who have applied and paid for Priority Access can begin booking meetings from 7th October, while the scheduler opens to the rest of the network the following day, 8th October. Members are encouraged to plan their meeting requests early to make the most of the three days in Bangkok.

The 2026 programme has been developed against a rapidly changing global backdrop, with evolving regulatory frameworks, increasing carbon pricing pressures, alternative fuel development, geopolitical disruption and growing concerns around energy security and supply chain resilience influencing investment and strategic decision-making across the transport sector. The conference will examine how the industry can move from climate ambition towards real-world implementation by bringing together perspectives from across the maritime, transport, energy, infrastructure, finance and technology sectors.

The First Session

The first session, “Delivering Net-Zero Maritime: Regulation, Markets & Investment Readiness,” will focus on the regulatory, financial and commercial forces shaping maritime decarbonisation.

Discussions will examine the latest developments in the IMO’s global GHG regulatory framework, including the proposed fuel standard, GHG pricing mechanism, lifecycle emissions, chain of custody and compliance requirements. The session will also assess the implications of regional regulatory frameworks such as EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime, as well as the growing complexity created by overlapping international and regional climate policies.

Furthermore, this session will explore the implications of regulatory divergence for competitiveness, investment certainty and long-term industry strategy.  The financing of maritime decarbonisation will form another key area of discussion, with attention to green and transition finance, blended finance, insurance, public-private partnerships and multilateral support.

The programme will also take a practical look at alternative fuels, examining the availability, cost, infrastructure requirements, lifecycle emissions, safety and scalability of ammonia, methanol, LNG, hydrogen and biofuels. It will conclude by examining geopolitics, energy security and maritime resilience, exploring how disruption around critical maritime chokepoints is affecting energy flows, shipping routes, freight economics, insurance costs, emissions, infrastructure priorities and long-term investment strategies.

The Second Session

The second session, “Technology & Infrastructure: Scaling Decarbonized Transport Ecosystems,” will turn its focus towards the technologies, infrastructure and integrated systems required to move decarbonisation from pilot projects to large-scale implementation. The session will explore how advanced analytics, automation and digital tools can improve routing, reduce emissions and enhance operational performance across fleets and ports. Moreover, it will also examine the role of digital measurement, reporting and verification systems, blockchain and transparent carbon accounting in strengthening emissions tracking, compliance and accountability.

The transformation of ports will be another central theme, with discussions focusing on the development of Green Ports as integrated energy hubs equipped with shore power, alternative fuel bunkering, storage and grid connectivity.  As the availability of alternative fuels remains a key challenge for the transition, the programme will examine the requirements for industrial-scale fuel production and logistics, including global distribution networks, certification frameworks and cross-border collaboration to bridge the gap between supply and demand.

Attention will further turn to the decarbonisation of existing fleets through carbon capture, retrofitting technologies and energy efficiency measures, assessing their potential to reduce emissions from current assets while supporting a pragmatic transition. The programme will conclude with a focus on the wider ecosystem required to deliver the transition, highlighting the role of engineering companies, classification societies, shipyards, technology providers and logistics stakeholders in advancing innovation, compliance, vessel design and integrated system development.

Through its two core sessions, TMS TACCC 2026 will provide a platform for senior stakeholders to examine the intersection of regulation, finance, fuel, technology, infrastructure, energy security and resilience. The conference aims to support a practical and commercially focused dialogue on how the global transport sector can accelerate decarbonisation while responding to geopolitical uncertainty, evolving market conditions and the infrastructure demands of a rapidly changing energy landscape.

In this special interview with Rishi Desai, Director of LogiBeats, Globalia member in Hazira Surat, India, we get to know about the company’s journey, the value it has gained from the network, and its vision for the future of freight forwarding.

From building long-term partnerships across continents to embracing new industry trends, Rishi shares his insights on what makes Globalia a valuable community and why active participation continues to be the key to lasting success.

Q. Could you briefly introduce LogiBeats and tell us about your company’s journey so far?

A. Founded in January 2017 as Caretaker Logistics with just three dedicated employees, LogiBeats has grown into a thriving organization of over 32 professionals. As we approach a successful decade in the logistics industry, we proudly serve more than 500 trusted customers through several branches across India. Rooted in Surat, the textile and diamond capital of India and home to the port city of Hazira, LogiBeats continues to expand its footprint while staying true to its values of reliability, efficiency, and customer trust.

Q. What initially motivated you to join the network?

A. Globalia is a unique platform that grants entry to only a single agent from each region, ensuring exclusivity and quality representation. Having already been part of several logistics networks, we wanted to align ourselves with a network that prioritizes the quality of its agents over sheer quantity.

Q. Looking back, what have been the biggest benefits of being part of Globalia?

A. We are proud to share that we have secured a substantial volume of business from India to Colombia and a few project cargoes to Africa. Moreover, these opportunities have also strengthened our confidence in the value of working with trusted network partners.

Q. Your company is one of the network’s most active members. Why do you believe it’s important to stay actively engaged?

A. Being active helps an organization promote its services to members within the network. One of Globalia’s unique incentives is the referral program, which helps organizations earn discounts on their membership fee.

Q. Have you developed any valuable partnerships, friendships, or long-term business relationships through Globalia? Could you share an example?

A. Yes, we have built a very strong, long-lasting business relationship with the agent North Carga S.A.S., Globalia member in Bogota, Colombia. Through them, we have gained access to some of the country’s biggest pharmaceutical companies. We can firmly confirm that North Carga has been our loyal partner since June 2025. Additionally, over the years, we have successfully managed numerous shipments, but two in particular stand out for the project business they generated for our company. These shipments were facilitated through trusted network partners and contributed meaningfully to our growth.

Q. What advice would you give to members who are not yet taking full advantage of the opportunities the network offers?

A. We have been observing the significant volume of business being exchanged within the network. At LogiBeats, our philosophy has always been to consign shipments to our network partners, as we believe this is the best way to initiate relationships that grow into long-lasting collaborations. We strongly encourage all partners within the network to adopt the same approach, fostering mutual trust and sustainable growth for everyone involved.

Q. Logistics is constantly evolving. What trends do you think will have the greatest impact on the industry over the next few years, and how is LogiBeats preparing for them?

A. In addition, we believe that conducting webinars and training sessions on current market topics would add significant value to members.

Regional webinars, such as Inter-Asia and Inter-Africa sessions, would further enhance visibility and foster stronger connections among agents within the network. These initiatives would not only enrich knowledge but also build deeper engagement and trust among partners.

Q. Finally, what message would you like to share with your fellow Globalia members?

A. It is a great group of people and a great community to work with. At LogiBeats, we firmly believe that consigning shipments within the network is the best way to initiate relationships that grow into long-lasting partnerships. We encourage all fellow members to embrace this philosophy by supporting one another, exchanging business, and building visibility across regions.
