Hosted by the Port of Turku, Finland’s oldest port, BPC 2026 will provide a platform for exploring how ports can adapt to environmental pressures, geopolitical changes, technological developments and evolving logistics requirements. Turku’s strong cargo connections, specialised stevedoring capabilities and extensive warehousing infrastructure make it a fitting location for these discussions.
Addressing the Transformation of Baltic Ports
The first day will focus on the transition towards greener, more resilient and adaptable port operations. Sessions will examine the development of Baltic Sea green shipping corridors, climate change adaptation, port resilience and the future of maritime leadership. The programme will also explore biodiversity and its integration into port management, alongside flexible warehousing, bulk storage and industrial logistics solutions.
The second day will turn the spotlight towards the technologies and energy solutions shaping tomorrow’s seaports. Discussions will cover carbon capture and storage value chains, wind energy and future bunker fuels, while dedicated sessions will examine how digitalisation, data intelligence and automation can transform port operations.
The conference will feature a diverse group of speakers from organisations including the European Sea Ports Organization, Port of Gothenburg, Port of Stockholm, Port of Turku, Finnish Ports Association, Viking Line, Wasaline and Northern Lights.
