“When we share a member’s success story, an interesting project, or even a quick interview, we’re putting their work in front of people who matter: other forwarders, potential partners, and clients from all over the world. What this means is that members get to show what they’re good at without having to shout about it themselves.”
Globalia Logistics Network has recently welcomed Luisana Escobar as its new Social Media Expert, a role created to strengthen the network’s digital visibility and expand its online community. In a world where a strong online presence is essential for logistics professionals, her work focuses on giving members a louder voice, wider reach, and greater recognition through Globalia’s social media channels, blog, website, WhatsApp group, and news features.
We caught up with her to talk about how Globalia’s digital communication strategy helps members grow, both within the network and across the wider logistics industry, and to learn a bit more about the person behind the posts.

Q. Luisana, you manage Globalia’s social media presence. How do you see its role in connecting members across the network?
A. Social media has become the heartbeat of our communication. Through our platforms, we give visibility to members’ achievements, promote their success stories, and share industry updates that help strengthen the bond within the Globalia community. Therefore, it’s not just about posting; it’s about creating meaningful connections and keeping our network active, dynamic, and visible every day.
Q. Globalia’s posts often feature member news, interviews, and blogs. How do these contribute to members’ visibility?
A. Honestly, these posts do a lot more than just fill up our feed. When we share a member’s success story, an interesting project, or even a quick interview, we’re putting their work in front of people who matter: other forwarders, potential partners, and clients from all over the world. What this means is that members get to show what they’re good at without having to shout about it themselves. A solid project story or a sharp interview instantly makes a company look reliable and skilled. And when their updates keep appearing on our website, social media, and even inside our members-only WhatsApp group, it builds a steady flow of recognition. Over time, that visibility translates into credibility, connections, and new business opportunities.
Q. How can members participate more actively in Globalia’s online community?
A. The simplest way to get more involved is to keep us in the loop. Share what’s happening at your company, photos, new services, big wins, anniversaries, certifications, anything that shows your team in action. We’re always happy to highlight member updates on the news section and across our social channels. Engagement works both ways. It also helps when members jump into the conversation by liking, commenting, or sharing posts. Engagement lifts the visibility of the entire network.
And of course, joining the members-only WhatsApp group is a huge plus. It’s professional, exclusive, and incredibly useful for staying in touch. You can even manage all your contacts directly through the Members Area, which makes networking much smoother. The more active the community is, the stronger Globalia’s presence becomes, and that helps every member get noticed.
Q. Globalia’s social media following keeps growing. What platforms are most active right now?
A. We’re active on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and X (Twitter). LinkedIn is where we see the most professional engagement; it’s where logistics leaders interact, exchange ideas, and recognize each other’s work. Facebook and Instagram help us show a more personal side of the network, while X lets us share industry trends and quick updates. And of course, our members-only WhatsApp group keeps everyone connected in real time, which makes sharing news or opportunities much easier. Each platform does something different, and when members follow and engage with all of them, their achievements travel farther.

Q. Besides social media, how do Globalia’s website and web app support member visibility?
A. They play a bigger role than many people realize. Every piece of member news we publish shows up both on the website and the web app, so members get steady visibility. The website, in particular, works as a long-term reference. When someone searches for a member online, seeing their projects or achievements featured on a reputable industry site immediately strengthens their brand and even helps with SEO. The web app, on the other hand, makes it easy for members to access updates on the go. Together, they keep member news accessible, credible, and easy to find.
Q. What’s next for Globalia’s online presence?
A. We’re working toward more interactive formats short videos, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes glimpses from our Annual Meetings. We want Globalia’s channels to feel like a community hub, not just a news feed. Every click, every post, and every member contribution helps make that happen. And all of this ties back into the website and web app, which serve as long-term reference points for members’ stories. It’s great for branding, and it also strengthens their SEO footprint, which many forwarders really appreciate.
Q. On a more personal note, what do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
A. When I’m off the clock, I’m usually buried in a book or watching a good movie. I also like keeping an eye on new marketing ideas and trends, partly because I enjoy it, partly because it helps me stay sharp and bring better value to our members.
Q. If you had to describe your job in three words, what would they be?
A. I’d say creative, collaborative, and dynamic. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly what keeps the job fun.
Q. Any message you’d like to share with Globalia members?
A. Stay active and stay connected. Our social media, News Section, website, WhatsApp group, and blog are all there to highlight your achievements, so use them. The more stories you share and the more you engage, the stronger our collective presence becomes. And that visibility benefits every single member. Our community works best when we build it together.
