The Conference Will Bring Industry Leaders Together to Discuss Green Shipping, Port Innovation and Resilience Across the Baltic Region

Globalia Logistics Network is pleased to announce its partnership with the Baltic Ports Conference 2026 as a Media Patron, taking place from 2 to 4 September 2026 in Turku, Finland. Organised by the Baltic Ports Organization and the Port of Turku, the conference will bring together senior representatives from ports, shipping, logistics, government, technology and maritime organisations to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of Baltic maritime transport.

Hosted by the Port of Turku, Finland’s oldest port, BPC 2026 will provide a platform for exploring how ports can adapt to environmental pressures, geopolitical changes, technological developments and evolving logistics requirements. Turku’s strong cargo connections, specialised stevedoring capabilities and extensive warehousing infrastructure make it a fitting location for these discussions.

Addressing the Transformation of Baltic Ports

The first day will focus on the transition towards greener, more resilient and adaptable port operations. Sessions will examine the development of Baltic Sea green shipping corridors, climate change adaptation, port resilience and the future of maritime leadership. The programme will also explore biodiversity and its integration into port management, alongside flexible warehousing, bulk storage and industrial logistics solutions.

The second day will turn the spotlight towards the technologies and energy solutions shaping tomorrow’s seaports. Discussions will cover carbon capture and storage value chains, wind energy and future bunker fuels, while dedicated sessions will examine how digitalisation, data intelligence and automation can transform port operations.

The conference will feature a diverse group of speakers from organisations including the European Sea Ports Organization, Port of Gothenburg, Port of Stockholm, Port of Turku, Finnish Ports Association, Viking Line, Wasaline and Northern Lights.

An Opportunity for Globalia Members to Engage with the Maritime Community

For Globalia Logistics Network members, BPC 2026 offers an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the changes influencing European maritime logistics while connecting with port authorities, shipping companies, technology providers and other industry professionals. Attending the conference can help freight forwarders better understand emerging developments in sustainable shipping, port infrastructure and digitalisation while identifying potential areas for cooperation across the Baltic region.

Globalia encourages its members to take advantage of this opportunity to expand their professional networks, exchange ideas with maritime industry leaders and discover new perspectives on the future of European port and logistics operations.
