It’s important to note that the PPP does not cover disputed invoices, as those are handled separately through the network’s established payment and dispute resolution procedures. Instead, it focuses on the more serious and less predictable risk of a partner going out of business.

The way the PPP works is straightforward but effective. Members contribute an annual fee, currently set at 500 EUR, into a dedicated fund. Each year, up to 80% of this fund can be used to compensate participating members for eligible losses. Compensation is capped at a maximum of 25,000 USD per debtor and cannot exceed the credit limit assigned to that member during the onboarding process.

To support recovery efforts, the PPP also engages reputable debt collection agencies to pursue outstanding payments wherever possible.
